Joel Lim
Joel Lim is the Senior Vice President, Investments at PEG, where he leads the hospitality asset management function for the firm’s hotel portfolio, currently overseeing 24 assets. He brings over a decade of experience in hospitality investments and asset management, with a proven track record of driving value across institutional portfolios and complex capital structures.
At PEG, Joel has strengthened the platform by implementing structured processes and best practices that drive operational performance, inform investment decision-making, and support refinancing initiatives that optimize capital structures and maximize long-term asset value.
Prior to joining PEG, Joel spent eight years at Host Hotels & Resorts, where he began as a rotational analyst, gaining hands-on experience in revenue management, design and construction, and asset management. He then transitioned to the Investments team, where he underwrote $4.8 billion in acquisition opportunities and supported $900 million in dispositions. Over his final five years at Host, Joel served as a Manager of Asset Management, where he built a strong foundation in institutional asset oversight. During this time, he managed 16 hotels cumulatively valued at $1.2 billion, leading lease and management agreement renegotiations, executing ROI-driven capital expenditure projects, and identifying repositioning strategies through detailed highest and best use analyses.
Joel’s broader background includes revenue analysis for the Les Amis Restaurant Group and corporate restructuring advisory with Ernst & Young, providing him with a diverse and ownership-oriented perspective on hospitality real estate. He holds a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University, a Master of Studies in Law from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
